Neurofeedback
is EEG biofeedback training that is used to alter brain
waves in many conditions and disabilities where the
brain is not working as well as it can.

Neurofeedback
is a
painless, non-invasive procedure
where sensors are placed on the scalp and brainwaves are
monitored and transformed by computer into information
that is presented to the trainee as video and audio
signals.
As
the brain activity in the desirable frequency band
increases the trainee is rewarded by an increase in
audio signals. As the brain activity is an adverse band
increases, the video and audio are inhibited. Gradually
the brain responds to the cues and learning of new
patterns takes place.
Effectiveness
is assessed early.
There
are no known adverse side effects of the training.
The
Training System
- The
training system begins with a thorough clinical
assessment conducted by Dr. Bory or Dr.
Mountz.
The criteria for training completion is established.
- The
most efficacious neurofeedback program is designed
for your specific needs.
- A
total of ten (10) individual 1/2 hour neurofeedback
training sessions are scheduled and conducted by a
trained technician.
- Follow-on
clinical interviews will be conducted by Dr. Bory or
Dr. Mountz.
- A
decision point will be reached:
- Desired
results achieved
- Further
sessions required
- Protocol
change and additional sessions scheduled.
